The Camp Autism Office will be closed from the 15th of May until the 1st of June. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Camp Autism will be merging with another organisation from Toowoomba at the end of 2012. This merger will see some exciting pilot plans for the Toowoomba region and surrounding towns, which will help families with disabilities in those areas. More to follow.
We are very pleased to announce our Camp Autism team in Western Australia is going independent in 2012. They will be better able to meet the needs of WA families and it will resolve some logistical problems affecting WA in the past. Exact dates for the change over will be posted soon. There should be no changes to current posted camps.
We welcome Chantel James to our team. Chantel replaces our beloved Western Australian coordinator Anita Peirus. Anita has had to stand down as coordinator for us and also with the new organisation for family reasons. We wish her all the best and we will miss her.
NSW will be resuming camps under the passionate and experienced, Linda Barney. Linda returns to a coordinator role with Camp Autism, after a couple of years of supporting us behind the scenes. We are very pleased to have Linda back in action.
Please note, Camp Autism is undergoing restructuring. Camp Autism can announce that in South Australia, we will be working with another organisation in South Australian to conduct our camps and to work with our coordinator in South Australia. South Australia has always required a team effort. Details and timing are still being worked out. More will be posted soon.The Tanunda camp will take place as scheduled and will be hosted by our SA coordinator Cass Letton.
Beat Autism is back. Beat Autism will be held on October 7th, 2012 at Lizottes on the central coast. here.

The Camp Autism camp model is now patented, as are several other types of camp programs. We do not charge to use our concept or model, but we would like the courtesy of being asked to use our model and to be given credit for the large amount of time and work we have put in to creating our model. Camps in NSW are resuming with Bathurst announced. Our good friends Hunter Connect also run similar camps in the Hunter Region. Northern NSW families may be interested in the Tweed and Towoomba camps.
